Testing Centre consists of two structural subdivisions: Wagon Building Production Testing Centre and Expert Centre for Wagon Building Production Certification.
Wagon Building Production Testing Centre is accredited by the Federal Accreditation System as an independent and technically competent testing center for rolling stock, certificate of accreditation ¹ ÐÎÑÑ RU.0001.21ÆÒ11, issued on December 23, 2015, with a valid quality management system in accordance with GOST ISO / IEC 17025-2019. It has a large experience in almost all types of wagon tests:
- stationary: static and shock strength, brake and functional ones;
- ride test to evaluate dynamical, strength and break characteristics;
- exploitation ones.
The list of tested wagons includes different function freight cars and coaches, electric trains, diesel engine trains, motorailers, bogies for fright wagons and coaches, bogies for electric trains and diesel engine trains, wheel pairs, finishing freight axes and finishing coach axes.
The Centre is experienced in carrying out research and certification tests of bogies for fright wagons, facilities for loading/unloading into hoppers and tank-wagons, and other components of rolling stock.
In accordance with the set targets, Testing Centre carries out experimental researches to find out whether the production meets the normative requirements, as well as certification tests of new production, railcars after capital repair with an extended operational life-time, modernised wagons, which have already been exploited. The Centre fulfills preliminary, acceptance and certification tests. Periodical, qualification and certification tests are held for serial production.
Testing Centre uses modern testing equipment and has a specially trained and accredited qualified staff. Leading specialists have over ten-year experience of work in the sector of rolling stock testing. Among the employees of the Centre there are experts of the certification system at the railway transport.
Tests are held in accordance with the order of the Certification Register at the Federal Railway Transport (ÐÑ ÔÆÒ), Russian and foreign wagon building and wagon repairing enterprises and their unions, rolling stock owners.
Expert Centre for Wagon Building Production Certification is accredited with the System of Certification at the Federal Railway Transport of the Russian Federation as an independent and technically competent expert certification centre (certificate of accreditation ¹ ÑÑÔÆÒ RU.01ÆÒ.13ÖÂ.00196) is experienced in examining rolling stock for compliance with certification characteristics.
The main activities of the Expert Centre are:
- expertise of the results of previous tests, allowing to reduce cost and term of certification;
- expertise of the new machinery, for certification of which there are no normative safety characteristics.;
- expertise of the configuration and compliance of the documentation given for acceptance and qualification tests with the normative requirements.
The list of expertise objects includes different function freight cars and coaches, electric trains, electric locomotives, diesel locomotives, diesel engine trains, motorailers, bogies for fright wagons and coaches, bogies for electric trains and diesel engine trains, link mechanism of rolling stock wheel pairs, finishing freight axes and finishing coach axes.
